Village in the City

Moving flat seems like to be on the repertoire of each month in London. Me, my friend, friend of friend, my sister, me again and me once more. Luckily it was my sister's turn this month. After sharing room with her for one lovely month she has finally found a flat near North Greenwich station in the Millennium Village.

Good times have arrived as she left; not just that I can walk around my flat without falling over in a random suitcase but I've got my new camera delivered. :)

I took these pictures around my sister's place when we went for a walk to discover her new area.

Hi.

So I'm back to busy London.
Working...Raving in East London...Photo shoots...Trying to keep up with blogging.

...And hoping for magic to happen every day.

My Budapest

Finally I visited Budapest, my home town after 8 months. Just got back to London 2 days ago, recharged with love and memories. Here are some pictures of people I love the most and miss already, and some of the beautiful Budapest.

Our Parliament at night and the River Danube.

Had a coffee with my Mum on the square front of St. Stephan's Cathedral. Loved to sit there and remember long passionate nights that have happened hereabout.

Playing pool with my sister and Dad in Noiret. This is the place where the idea of moving to London was born 2,5 years ago on a slightly tipsy night. Still not sure if I should regret or bless the amount of beers I had that night.

My cousin's Baby No.1, Hanga is going hardcore riding the teeter in her pink helmet.

Baby No.2, Huba, only 1,5 year old but I'm already sure that he will be a heart breaker.

A night in with Mum, sister and my dearest friend, Petra. After a few glasses of wine we came up with some pinky promises (can't just tell yet). Fingers crossed and Cheers!:)

Had a lovely dinner with my dear friend, Lili at Gozsdu in Negyszaz. Every time I eat here I always order the same, Sztrapacska with bacon and lots of sour cream, mmm yummi.

Collecting walnuts from my Grandma's garden. This is a super mini walnut.

I asked my Grandma if I can take a picture of her. After I showed the photo to her tears started running down her face. She said she is so ugly and old. Now I'm sure she was only criticizing my ability of taking nice pictures because I think she is one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Paper skin...91 years old.

Crossing the Lanchid (Chain Bridge) at night after the wine festival in Buda Castle. Love the night-lights in the city. In the distance it's the Gresham Palace.

Elizabeth Bridge and Gellert Hill with the Liberty Statue (the mini one in the right corner) from Lanchid.

Lost Focus

It's been two months...
I moved twice, finished school for now, had my birthday (im not happy about my new age) and I haven't touched my camera since July...This is the first time.

My friend and flatmate (again, just moved in together after 1.5 months gap) Veronika has come back from Budapest so we went for our first photoshoot after ages. I realised I've been missing my camera and the feeling of shooting so much. One birthday promise to myself: will never put my camera on the side getting dusty for two long months.

Lipstick and fan

I had my second session of studio portraits yesterday and my dear friend and classmate, Linda was modelling for me. It was much fun and finally I could put creepy thoughts and shadows on the side:)

Have 2 more weeks left from school, so much to do. Need to finish all the projects, set up workbook and so and so...I'm freaking out a bit. But once it's all done I'll be the happiest.:)

Champagne!

One of the projects I had to prepare for the interview at KCC. I had to choose an article from a newspaper and do a related photo for that. I'm questioning my reasons for the decision of choosing a champagne related article. ;)

Against the Sun

Hanging out in Camden Town. Sunshine, Starbucks coffee with cheesecake, Chinese food at the market, printed T-shirts, a little swearing on a rude shop assistant (frightened my friend on purpose), vintage fashion shops, falling in love with a pair of Turquoise leatherette trousers. Tomorrow buying it.

View

I had a very long day in the city today, finally got my portfolio ready for the course I have applied to, wrote a review of a photography exhibition, got my favourite high heels repaired.
To reward myself  I popped in my cousin's place for a Mojito (happened to have 3 of it).
And this is the view from his balcony on the 4th floor :)

An afternoon in V&A

I had a lovely afternoon at the V&A this Friday. I went to visit a photography exhibition, Light from the Middle East. While I was waiting for my flatmate I had a nice tea with a slice of cake in the cafe of the museum.
The exhibition was super, a real food for thought as I'm very interested in the culture and philosophy of the Middle East.
